    Hi,

Noob to Monkey2, first post, I like the IDE. Got hellochipmunk compiling no problemo 😉 – within here :-

    C:\Monkey2-v1.1.01\bananas\hellochipmunk

However, my first stab was to open the following file:

    hello-world.monkey2

opened the hello-world.monkey2 file (which now appeared in the root of C:\Monkey2-v1.1.01 – it compiled fine.

I’ve literally been playing with Monkey2 for about 10 mins – looking good so far 😉

Just tried the Conway Life Demo – Sweet 😉

And.. as for monkeyroids – brilliant fun 😉

Okay… last edit of my initial post – playniax’s shoot-out demo has some pretty sweet eye candy. Just when I thought my suite of coding choices couldn’t extend much further…. Monkey2 comes along 😉

    Welcome to mx2!

Were you having some problems with hello-world?

Thanks for the welcome, have now sussed where my problemo was coming from – the files I was initially opening was from an old install of Monkey2, from a year ago, and not associated with the installer I downloaded this evening.

My bad, Everything within the root of the Monkey2-v1.1.01/bananas directory compiles fine 😉 It was an old install directory from last year that caused my very brief hiccups.

I really should finish and improve that example… maybe when I get time 🙂

Enjoyed playing it, took me right back to roids in the ice skating rink visit with my youth club over 30 years ago 😉
