Dear Mark,
I know you’re very busy with that fancy 3d stuff now but now as you’ve created that Admob module (thanks!) do you have any plans to create an in-app purchase module for Android and iOS at some point in the not too distant future (let’s say within 6 months)?
March 13, 2017 at 10:23 am #7481Ok, so no plans. Fine. I’m going to switch back to Monkey 1 as long as Monkey 2 is not mature. No offense intended. MX2 is great but lack of documentation and features I need makes it a pain to use atm for me.
March 13, 2017 at 10:32 am #7483Agreed. Lack of Mark communicating is not a good sign
March 13, 2017 at 12:21 pm #7484I don’t know if this is a sign of ‘lack of communicating’ or not.
Surely he seems to be deeply coding the 3d module… so maybe he changed the (his) priority (at the moment).mx23d phsyics @60fps video test:https://t.co/M9NtUpW755

I don’t want to write an heresy, but IIRC Monkey1 has already something (MonkeyStore or similar). So ‘translating/adapting’ it should be not so *much* work (of course I’m a completely noob in this!)
March 13, 2017 at 12:26 pm #7485Yes Monkey 1 has everything I need, including working in app purchase stuff. But it’s just… well… abandoned unfortunately.
Lack of communication is nothing new, it’s been there for ages now and well, I can live with that. No answer is an answer already.
March 13, 2017 at 9:33 pm #7488I don’t know when in-app purchases will be done. 6 months *sounds* reasonable but I’m up to my neck in 3d stuff right now and am not making any promises. IMO, stick with monkey1 if you want something with IAP for now.
March 14, 2017 at 6:18 am #7491After seeing the performance of Monkey2 / Pyro2 on my iPhone 5 I must say I am very pleased! First time I had Ignition running on my iPhone 3 and crappy Android device it needed a few tweaks. Today I am going to continue and test it on Android. I really want to get some games out there and eventually IAP would be great! I think it’s the only thing missing from my needs so great that it is on your todo list Mark! At least we Admob so I settle for that.
March 14, 2017 at 7:02 am #7496Thanks guys!
Much appreciated!
March 15, 2017 at 6:53 am #7498For Android we can use JNI module to implement IAP, and grab logic from mx1.
Don’t know who can and want to do that.
