mmm, i’m on OS X and it looks like there is an offset with mouse capturing.

It can be see in ted2 with the dockers/separators and buttons where:

hovering with the mouse (on the uptown docker) the docker activates when the mouse is not over the left side and deactivates before the mouse has left on the right – try it and see

Or the horizontal one the behaviour is the same E.G.

Activates when the mouse is above (not in) a control button/docker etc and deactivates before the mouse has left the control

Has anyone else seen this? it is about 2 pixels off in all directions (OS X)

Could it be related to this?

Sounds like a ‘just the way it is’ issue…that’s what I’d always assumed anyway.

I have  a similar problem with the mouse. on my MacBook with the latest os. when trying to drag the slider along the bottom of the editor window, if I press the mouse on the slider on the lower part of the slider the whole editor window moves. I have to be careful always to drag from the upper part of the slider. kind of annoying.

    mmm, interesting.

I did some (really) zoomed in tests and can confirm it is normal OS X behaviour. tested across apps, etc.

There is something about ted2 that seems to make this issue more pronounced. Most apps have different cursors – maybe I should also look at this too?

One thing that did strike me was the behaviour of some of the mojox components differs from other apps in that activation (the scrollbar is an example) ONLY works if you are directly over the scrollbar itself. in other apps this behaviour is triggered when you are over the entire (bar+background) control.

Maybe this should also be looked at – I think the same for the docker bar

ok, sorta sorted. I’ve edited the themes file to increase the size a bit on both the scrollbars and dockers which helps a bit
