Well ya, finally… after using Monkey 1 for ages and releasing about 7 games for Android, iOS and WP8 I think it’s time to go ahead and try out this new gem called MX2.
I’m aware that this is far from finished but so is my project (actually still have to release my Unity 3d sub game first in December) and my hope is that in about one year Android and iOS targets (that’s all I need actually) are going to run fine and somehow rocksolid. For me it’s like a jump into cold water but this might be a refreshing experience.
I’m going to introduce more about my project soon – so this is more a captain placeholder at the moment and a commitment to Mark and his work and that I fully support you!
The only module I’m going to use is that fantastic Pyro 2 which seem to be released in December, too – as far as I’m aware of.

November 18, 2016 at 7:19 pm #5214Yeah, dang 7 games.
I managed to squeeze out 2 games for Android and Apple store with Monkey 1.November 19, 2016 at 12:46 pm #5241Right, so here we go, my 8 games, all made with Monkey 1:
Pacific Battles (turn based strategy like chess):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codeknitters.pacificbattleslite
https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/pacific-battles-lite/id886552148?mt=8Tic Tac Toe Wargames (based on that movie, yes!):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codeknitters.tictactoelite
https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/tic-tac-toe-wargames-lite/id513217160?mt=8Sea Battle (that good old pen&paper game but on hex fields):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codeknitters.sbattlelite
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sea-battle-free/id509150187?mt=8Red Baron Chicken (basically a flappy birds clone):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codeknitters.redflyingchickenPaint&Conquer (my very first app!):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cobblecrowd.paintconquer
https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/paint-conquer/id803939005?mt=8Toddler Fun Puzzle (a kids puzzle game):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cobblecrowd.toddlerpuzzle
https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/puzzles-fur-kleinkinder/id863057995?mt=8Shapemaster (eyeballing game, see how accurate you are):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.krautapps.shapemaster
https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/shape-master-eyeballing/id1023698847?mt=8Mau Mau (a popular card game in Germany):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codeknitters.mau
https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/mau-mau-kartenspiel/id649408128?mt=8Many of them get just bad ratings, especially on Android, but that’s probably “normal” because they’re mainly lite versions and the stupid majority seem to favor f2p ripoffs much more than one time payed apps.
My most successful game was Sea Battle aka Schiffe versenken which made over $10k alone, but that was back in 2012/13 where things were much easier. Mau Mau is number 2 with about half of it, so $5k most of it due to ad revenue (simple admob banner, no full screen ads).
November 21, 2016 at 11:13 am #5303Very good stuff, the battleship and cards games did well, indeed.
December 29, 2016 at 6:09 pm #60978 games, well done – I’d like to release just the one at some point. Keep us updated with your tower defence game – sounds promising.
