I updated a wasm project and it just will not load the new uploaded version. I keep seing the old version of the program in the browser.
I tried the reload button and the shift + f5. I updated chrome. But it just will not load the latest version.
Does anyone know anything about this?
It is from the 2d water that I posted in the project forum. If you loaded it already before than you could check if it loads the new version at your end since the new version should display.

The new version has the – characters in the text in the top screen. The old version has the ‘to’ words. That old one also crashed when water was put near the side of the canvas.
June 14, 2017 at 2:40 am #8726Are you using mserver to host/run it?
June 14, 2017 at 2:42 am #8727Do I have to use mserver on the website? When I compile through the editor and run it it works. When I upload it to the website through ftp it does not update it.
June 14, 2017 at 2:59 am #8728I am looking at the developer tools from chrome and there is a error saying that Temp.wasm can not be loaded.
Monkey1Temp.html:117 GET https://cromdesi.home.xs4all.nl/wasm/2dwater/Temp.wasm 404 (Not Found)June 15, 2017 at 6:42 am #8746I think my issue is related.
Platform: MaxOS Sierra, Chrome, Emscripten target:
If I compile and run a program it starts and runs from mserver.
If I then compile another program, the first one is shown again.
If I close mserver, then compile and run, the correct program runs.June 15, 2017 at 6:11 pm #8755I noticed I kept the old link to Monkey in my start menu. I have been using the previous version of monkey. I replaced it with a link to the new monkey version. I have also reinstalled the emscripten by following the guide in the monkey about window. I also unzipped that emscripten folder as was shown in the env_windows file.
I am not sure if things will change but I hope it does.
Edit: Broken – I renamed the devtools/emscripten folder and it looks like it is rebuilding now.
Edit:I can compile wasm again but when I upload to the website the old cashed version loads and not the new. I will just rename the folders from now on until new versions come along.
June 15, 2017 at 11:09 pm #8761when I upload to the website the old cashed version loads and not the new.
This is likely to be a webserver issue I think, eg: there may be some apache config settings for cache control?
June 16, 2017 at 12:40 am #8763I have no controls for the website. It is free space from my internet provider. I can only use a ftp to upload. They call it cloud space also.
I will send a message to their twitter to check if they can do something.
June 16, 2017 at 7:18 am #8766@pakz : Are you sure you force refresh your browser?
Tip: When Google Chrome developer tools are open, you can right click the refresh icon and choose refresh options, there is a “clear cache” option.June 16, 2017 at 3:50 pm #8775@difference – Thanks, I did not know this yet.
