In September Windows 10 lost .5% in market share and in October only managed to eke out a 0.06% gain. For a net loss of market share over the the last two months.

Windows 7 managed to increase in market share by .11% while Windows 8/8.1 claimed an increase of .96%.

Users appear to be leaving Windows 10 in favor of the older versions. While at the same time no one seems willing to either buy a PC with it installed or pay for the Windows 10 upgrade.

Windows 10 now has the look of a dying OS.

That’s unfortunate.  Windows 7 is not going to continue to have first party support forever.  With 10s adoption of truly cross platform SDKs as well as the new Debian-based Linux subsystem for binary compatibility with Linux apps I see a future for Windows, but 7 is currently a dead end.

I don’t think we’re that lucky, I did try giving 10 a good go but its a PITA to use and after I heard a major update wipes your partition table I’ve just not bothered booting it since.

The wife has to use a win10 machine when she does her charity work, she has a heap of win10 books from the library and I can’t remember the last time she had a problem with her home desktop which she even keeps up to date too!

I just don’t get where people get this idea its easy to use and it drives a horse and cart through privacy…
