    Not necessarily an issue, I just need to know if this behavior is intentional so I can bake my normal maps accordingly.

    When I apply this normal map:

    I get the lighting inverted: light is coming from the right, the dots appear to be negative (concave) instead of positive (convex). I was expecting the opposite, since the normal map was baked from a half-sphere sitting on a plane.
