any thoughts on giving more highlighting some time ? I cant stress just how important it is for people like me, matching Jungle’s options would be nice but in a pinch I would love to be able to have a specific colour for the following..

    • global
    • local
    • const
    • function
    • method
    • class
    • number
    • operator
    • field

    would be a big help.

ted2go should auto join people into that channel, make it something people need to turn off, not something they need to turn on, I know that might be a bit controversial but I think it would be best to get people into it otherwise hardly anyone is going to bother with it.

does it collect all errors or just stop at the first one it see’s, seems like a waste if it only shows the first error it bumps into.

I would really love more syntax Highlighting options, like being able to colour a class, a field, a method, a function, constants etc all their own colour is that at all possible ? the more the better in my book.

@therevills sticking your head in the sand, fingers in your ears singling la la la la la la solves nothing, also yeah I didn’t intend anything I said to be aggressive sounding amon, I’m Scottish we sound aggressive by default lol.

Right the bottom line is that everyone here and I mean everyone, wants mark to succeed and wants monkey 2 to be massive, but for some of us we simply cannot picture this ever happening with the terrible branding, terrible documentation, the lackluster website design and the other issues listed above.

I’m sure those of you not complaining actually want it to be awesome as well, how is it going to achieve that without addressing the concerns listed here.

Honestly I would love to know, because like you all, I want it to be brilliant. and I cant wait for you to prove me wrong, but I would honestly feel like a total tit if it bombs and I said nothing, its like Politics’s, you cant complain when your country goes to hell if you didnt vote, well this is me voting.

that’s gota be a ton of draw calls, I guess its fast enough for small things but anything a little larger like a game world would produce a quantum bucket load of draw calls surely ?

watched the video again it looks stunning dude, it looks so good I just assumed it was little 3D cubes, but I guess, actually iv got no clue how your doing it little quads?

Whats the performance like how many things can you throw at the screen , does it do culling of objects unseen oh man so many questions, I basically have this shooter in mind and the idea is based on a little 2D space invader clone I did, at the time I was thinking how cool it would be with voxels but never had the time to invest in it so seeing this tweet which I assumed was marks work sorry my bad!, I thought about that game idea..

It really does look so cool dude.

just to show I’m not all gloom, when I saw marks voxel tweet it really got my attention, I hope that mx2 and his design supports voxels in a big way as I see that design style being huge in the coming years.

Your right Therevills he does not like swearing or posts like this, but I would also say that the second you put something online and open it up for discussion then your agreeing in some part to allow people to voice their thoughts and opinions on that topic matter, I didn’t start this thread but like many others I do have very real and proven concerns which I took the opportunity here to voice.

If I in any way gave the impression that I didn’t like mark then people are getting the wrong idea, I have not stuck around for this long, used every product hes made (apart from mx2) and enjoyed the sadly rapidly diminishing community if I did not like his work and his way of thinking, for the most part.

He’s just made some rather large mistakes that loads of his fans warned him about, then he did it again, so I would say that for some of us, were pissed, and rightly so, and unfortunately that can sometimes spill out and sound like anger on the forums.

So I wont apologise for having an opinion, I will apologise for my language tho, and I will continue to not make threads about this type of subject, but if some one else starts one then I will comment on it, it’s down to mark to prove everyone wrong and settle peoples fears, I for one hope he does.

    End of line.
