The standard Ted2Go IDE is really good much better than the old Monk IDE from Monkey1. I was first annoyed that Jungle IDE didn’t follow into Monkey2 (I bought the lifetime license) but really Ted2Go covers most everything I used. Download Monkey2 and give it a spin!

I’d be interested in a hardcopy or at least a printable PDF version of a manual + reference guide.

Wow good luck the game has a lot of promise.

I was wondering if you were going to make the leap to MX2 or not.  🙂

I’m not a OOP master, but I don’t think you want to do it the way you’re doing it.  Looks kinda fishy.

But the issue with your code is it keeps drawing the first circle and none of the others.  Change the line to this so it references the objects in the loop:

Thanks for your continued work in this abakobo.

Would it be possible to get the entire reference manual as a single page?  Sometimes I like to print out manuals and read at leisure without a screen …

Looks really cool I remember CGA.

Have you considered having a pixellate option where it has a 320×200 virtual resolution for true retro feel?

Do you mean functional with dynamic code via lambdas or do you mean functional as in calling a function?

Very cool Xaron I will be interested to see where this goes.  What type of game do you think you’re going to do in the end?

I know it’s a prototype but FYI you can move through the squares if you move diagonally. 🙂

These here’s-how-to-make-your-business-better posts don’t usually go over well.  🙂

I was giving to Patreon before pre-built binaries were available… so to me Mark was just trying to give back something to the backers but I doubt it was done as a money making endeavor to entice other people.

itch.io does get a lot of traffic I think and is indie-friendly so it should be a good thing.  Mark’s new office sounds like it is smack dab in the middle of indie-goodness so perhaps that is the direction we are going?  If there is a way to hook into the game jams with emscripten target working on there right out of the box that would be really cool.

Same sentiments as @xaron ….  by the time you code the module, and then someone uses that to make a game … gles3 should be much more common.  So I say go for gles3.
